【基本情况】芜湖市第四人民医院（芜湖市精神病医院）创建于1969年，坐落在芜湖市弋江区乌霞山东路，是集医疗、预防、教学、科研、康复于一体的三级甲等精神病专科医院。占地面积8万平方米（包括芜湖院区与南陵院区），建筑面积5.2万平方米，开放床位1688张。医院是安徽省第二精神卫生专科联盟牵头单位，是安徽省医师协会精神科医师分会主委单位，是芜湖市心理学会、芜湖市睡眠研究会、芜湖市医学会精神科分会、安徽省心理学会临床与咨询心理学分会、芜湖市心理卫生协会、芜湖市精神卫生指导中心的挂靠单位。精神科是安徽省"十四五"临床重点专科，2014年获批芜湖市第二批“5111”创新团队。普通精神科、睡眠医学科、情感障碍科、老年精神科、临床心理科是芜湖市“十四五”医学重点专科。医院作为全省唯一精神卫生专科医院参与全国精神卫生综合管理试点城市和全国社会心理服务体系建设，成绩显著。在全国首次三级公立医院绩效考核中，位列全国精神专科医院第15名。2022年7月，医院与首都医科大学附属北京安定医院合作共建国家区域医疗中心，并于2023年7月成功获批。
【人员结构】现有专业技术人员606人，其中，高级职称专业人员53人、教授32人、博士2人、硕士研究生43人、硕士生导师17人。
【医疗技术】医院技术力量雄厚，设有精神科、临床心理科、精神病康复科、儿童青少年科、老年精神病科、睡眠医学科、成瘾医学科、精神病司法鉴定科、情感障碍科、心理危机干预中心等专业科室。其中，急性病区7个、康复病区5个，老年病区、心理病区、儿少病区、睡眠医学与成瘾医学病区各1个。开展了精神分裂症、情感障碍、药物与酒依赖、睡眠障碍与神经症、进食障碍、儿童、青少年与老年精神医学、精神康复、心理治疗、心理咨询与评估、心理危机研究与干预、精神疾病司法鉴定等10余个特色诊疗项目。
【教学科研】医院是蚌埠医学院、上海交大Bio-X中心的附属医院，安徽医科大学、安徽中医药大学、皖南医学院、安徽师范大学等多所高校的教学医院，也是皖南医学院、蚌埠医学院的硕士生培养单位。在前进的过程中，医院始终坚持科教兴院、人才强院战略，自2014年起多人先后被派遣往意大利、德国、美国、英国、爱尔兰、新加坡等国交流、深造。医院也于2006年开始与上海交大、美国哥伦比亚大学、英国阿伯丁大学合作，进行精神分裂症基因遗传学研究，于2010年创立“中科院贺林院士工作室”，2012年经省科技厅批准成为安徽省首个专科“院士工作站”，2020年又成立贺林院士新医学合作示范基地。2021年，医院与上海市精神卫生中心合作共建“长三角精神心理创新团队”，开展医教研的全方位合作。目前，医院已完成国家863课题2项、国家自然科学基金重点项目1项、国家重点研发计划1项。承担国际合作科研课题1项，省级科研课题4项，市级科研课题29项。申报完成实用新型专利30项，外观专利10项，获安徽省科学技术及科技创新奖3项、省级科技成果登记9项。
【社会公益】医院多年来与消防、公安、高校、社会团体、企事业单位等50余家单位开展合作，先后建立心理咨询师培训与实习基地、高校学生心理健康援助中心、妇女儿童家庭婚姻咨询中心、征兵心理检测培训与指导中心、芜湖市心理救援中心、开设芜湖市心理热线，2023年5月挂牌成立芜湖市儿童青少年心理健康服务中心，为促进百姓心理健康、构建和谐社会做出了重大的贡献！

【General information】the Fourth People's Hospital of Wuhu, formerly known as the Mental Hospital of Wuhu, was established in 1969, and is located in Wuxiashan East Road, Yijiang District, Wuhu City. At present, the hospital is a tertiary first-class psychiatric hospital integrating medical treatment, prevention, teaching, scientific research and rehabilitation. The hospital covers an area of 80,000 m2 (including the General Hospital in Wuhu and the Nanlin branch), has a building area of 45,000 m2, and provides a total of 1688 beds. The psychiatrist section of the Anhui Physicians Association, the Wuhu Psychological Society, the Wuhu Sleep Study Association, the psychiatry branch of the Wuhu Medical Association, the clinical and counseling psychology branch of the Anhui Psychological Society, and the Wuhu Psychiatric and Hygiene Guidance Center are all attached to the Fourth People's Hospital of Wuhu which is also the initiator of the 2nd Psychiatric and Hygiene Treatment Alliance of Anhui. The psychiatry department of the hospital enters the List of the Medical Care and Hygiene Priorities during the 14th Five-year Plan of Anhui. The psychology team was awarded a title of "5111" Innovation Team of Wuhu (batch 2) in 2014. General Psychiatry, Sleep Medicine, Affective Disorders, Geriatric Psychiatry and Clinical Psychology enter the List of the key medical specialties of Wuhu during the 14th Five Year Plan. The hospital, the only psychiatric and hygiene hospital in Aunhui, has engaged in the construction of the "Trial City of National Comprehensive Management of Psychiatric and Hygiene” project with outstanding achievements. In the first national performance eva1uation of tertiary public hospitals, it ranked 15th among national psychiatric hospitals. In July 2022, the hospital and Beijing Anding Hospital Affiliated to Capital Medical University began to cooperate to build a national regional medical center.
【Staff construction】 There are a total of 606 special technicians currently, including over 53 staffs with senior professional post, over 32 professors, 2 with doctoral degree, 43 with master's degree, and 17 master supervisors.
【Medical technique】he hospital features powerful technical resources and has over ten professional departments covering psychiatry, psychology, psychosis recovery, geriopsychosis, jurisdictional identifications of mental diseases, diagnosis center of sleep disorder, and research and intervention center of psychological crisis. Besides, the hospital provides seven acute disease treatment zones, five patient recovery zones, one geriatric zone, one psychological zone, one children and adolescent zone, one sleep medicine zone and one addiction medicine zone. It integrates over 10 special therapy areas including schizophrenia, disturbance of emotion, drugs and alcohol dependence, sleep disorder and neuroses, eating disorder, psychological medicine for children, teenagers and the elderly, mental rehabilitation, psychotherapy, psychological consultation and assessment, research and intervention of psychological crisis, and jurisdictional identifications of mental diseases.
【Education and Scientific Research】The hospital is an affiliated hospital of Bengbu Medical College and Bio-X Center of Shanghai Jiaotong University, serves as an educational base for Anhui Medical University, Anhui University of Chinese Medicine, Wannan Medical College, Bengbu Medical College and Anhui Normal University, and also assumes the responsibility of cultivating master students for Wannan Medical College and Bengbu Medical College. During the development of the hospital, it always adheres to the philosophy of improving itself by scientific education and talents. Since 2014, it has dispatched several staffs to go to Italy, Germany, USA, UK, Ireland, Singapore, and other countries for exchange and further study. It also has begun to cooperate with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Columbia University and University of Aberdeen in the study of schizophrenia gene genetics since 2006.The hospital established the " Academician Helin Workstation "in 2010 and “Academician Helin's New Medical Cooperation Demonstration Base”in 2020. In 2021, the hospital and Shanghai Mental Health Center began to jointly establish the "Yangtze River Delta Spiritual and Psychological Innovation Team" to carry out all-round cooperation in medical teaching and research. At present, the hospital has completed two national 863 projects, one key project assigned by the National Science Foundation, and one project of national key research and development plan. It is currently undertaking one international cooperative research project, four provincial research projects, and 29 municipal research projects. Hospital employees have obtained 30 utility model patents, ten appearance patents, three Anhui Provincial Science and Technology Innovation Awards, and nine provincial-level scientific and technological achievement registrations.
【Public welfare】 The hospital has cooperated with over 50 units , including fire prevention, pubic security, universities, social communities, enterprises and government institutes, for many years to establish a training and practice base of psychological counselors, a mental health assistance center for university students, a consultation center focusing on women, children, family and marriage problems, a training and guidance center for psychological test on recruits, a center for the Wuhu psychological salvation with psychological hotline , and a mental health service center for children and adolescents in Wuhu city, all of which contribute a lot to the improvement of citizens' mental health and the construction of a harmonious society.
